Local organizationSRB, for Storage Resource Broker, is a tool to distribute data over multiple sites. It allows to distribute and access data available on different sites and over heterogeneous supports( files system on disk, database, tapes, …). This access is made transparently for the users. For more practical informations about SRB use at Computing Centre, you can consult this article. You will also find below some informations about the use of this tool.
For the user side:
To change your password (in French).
To obtain help about Scommands.
To copy and modify files and access rights (ACL) (in French).
To declare a whole of files in SRB (in French).
To select a whole of files according to given attributes (in French).
To Manipulate metadata on objects registered in SRB (in French).
To use the access to databases via SRB (in French).
To create a containeur in SRB (in French).
For the administrator side:
To create a new user in SRB (in French).
To create a physical resource in SRB (in French).
To create a logical resource in SRB (in French).
To change the .MdasEnv and .MdasAuth files localisation (in French).
