The website hosting service is<\/span> intended primarily for<\/span> IN2P3 units to<\/span> answer the needs of content broadcasting for<\/span> scientific projects and<\/span> collaborations, where research teams are involved. Hosted sites are very diverse in nature: experiments, events or<\/span> institution homepages.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/4″]

The CC-IN2P3\u2019s virtual machine hosting service makes it possible to<\/span> provision servers on<\/span> demand. This service grants access to<\/span> numerous types of machines and<\/span> operating systems, controlled resources, cloud management and<\/span> rich programmable interfaces compatible with Nova and<\/span> EC2.<\/p>\n

Thanks to<\/span> the above, the service offers flexible access to<\/span> resources (on<\/span>-demand provisioning, privilege administration, etc.) and<\/span> high availability to<\/span> IN2P3 collaborators.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div><\/div>\n[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_custom_heading text=”IT equipment” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]The CC-IN2P3\u2019s IT rooms benefit from optimal conditions in terms of electricity and<\/span> air conditioning for<\/span> its hosting computer equipment.<\/p>\n

The CC-IN2P3 plays a<\/span> central part of the national infrastructure by hosting a<\/span> regional node (RN) for<\/span> RENATER, providing a<\/span> very high-speed connection to<\/span> all<\/span> French universities and<\/span> other research bodies. It also hosts points of presence for<\/span> the AMPLIVIA network (high-speed network for<\/span> the Auvergne Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes region) and<\/span> LyRES (Lyon University Metropolitan Network). In addition, the CC-IN2P3 hosts Lyonix\/Rezopole, the leading exchange point for<\/span> web traffic in Lyon and<\/span> surroundings.<\/p>\n

These features allows the CC-IN2P3 to<\/span> host servers for<\/span> the IT Service Department and<\/span> the Direct Scientific Communication Centre for<\/span> the CNRS, the University of Lyon and<\/span> the Auvergne Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes regional authority.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
