The morning concluded with a speech by Alain Schuhl, Deputy Director-General for Science at the CNRS, in the presence of laboratory directors and representatives from companies that had contributed to the construction of the building.
The day continued with a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by tours of the computer rooms, offering a first-hand look at the developments currently underway.
By celebrating both the opening of this extension and the 40th anniversary of the Computing Centre in Villeurbanne, this event highlights the strategic role of the CC-IN2P3 in supporting research.
A big thank you to all the teams and partners involved for making this project a reality!
