Women accounted for one in three researchers (33%) worldwide in 2018. They have achieved parity (in numbers) in life sciences in many countries and even dominate this field, in some cases. However, women remain in the minority in digital information technology, computer science, physics, mathematics and engineering. Today in France, only 27.9% of digital professionals are women.
Based on this observation, the CC-IN2P3 wished to engage in promoting digital professions among women. The CC-IN2P3 is proud to participate in the #WomenInScience campaign, organized on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science which will take place on February 11.
They are data analyst, systems and network administrator, information systems administrator or even head of the computing team. They present their job, their background and explain what motivates them in their missions at the calculation center.
